Opening 2014 with a new meal plan

My new coach has a new meal plan for me…. The only tough part is NO CARBS on non workout days.

MEAL PLAN NON LEG DAY

0800 Meal 1 : ½ cup Oats with 2 cups berries and 2 scoops whey protein

Train  40 grams of carb (rice cake)

1000 Meal 2: 6 oz tilapia, 12 oz sweet potato,  asparagus

1200 1400 1600 Meal 3  4 and 5: Taco salad (6oz of turkey  1tbs of macadamia nut oil, lettuce and tomatoes

1900 Meal 6: 6 oz salmon and green beans

LEG DAY

0800 Meal 1: ½ cup Oats with 2 cups of berries and 2 scoops whey protein

Train  no creatine  100 grams of carbs (pancake with whey)

1000 Meal 2: 6 oz cod,  12oz sweet potato, asparagus, apple

1200 1400 1600 Meal 3  4 and 5: Taco salad (6oz of turkey  1tbs of macadamia nut oil, lettuce and tomatoes

1900 Meal 6: 6 oz salmon and green beans

Ingredients

      *Oat flour, Arrowhead Mills, 0.5 cup *Pure Protein Powder – Vanilla Creme – 1 Scoop, 1 serving Salt, .13 tsp Baking Powder, .25 tsp *Crystal Light Natural Lemonade, .5 serving *Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, 1/4 cup egg white, fresh, 2 large

      Applesauce, unsweetened, .5 cup *Lemon Juice, 1 lemon yields

      Zest 1 lemon 1/4 cup water

        Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

          Mix oat flour, vanilla whey protein, salt, baking soda and crystal light, in large bowl.

        Mix egg whites, Splenda, applesauce and water in a bowl.

        Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix together.

        Spray  pyrex dish with non-stick butter spray.

        Pour ingredients into dish.

        Bake 23 minutes

3 Bean Chili

Here’s a real easy thing to make…loaded with protein and very little fat!

1lb LEAN ground turkey (98%)

1 can of organic pintos

1 can of organic black beans

1 can of organic kidney beans

1 can of Rotel Chili fixin’s

1 can of tomato sauce (the big one)

Brown the turkey…throw in the rest of the stuff.. add a couple cans of water to get the consistency how you like it… BAM! Healthy meal right there.

2013 brought a lot of pain and emotional trauma. My gains were huge when I look back at the beginning photos. I’m a big believer in taking progress photos and measurements because gains are small and appear insignificant at times but when you look back 5 months or so, you know you are on the right track.

On this blog I will posting my routine and recipes. The whole idea of running this blog is to help others.

I have had several near death experiences going back to when I was in the womb. My mother fell and they thought she was going to lose me. When I was 10 I was electrocuted and received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my hand and forehead. One day on set of a TV show I was about to do a stunt and right before they yelled ACTION the assistant coordinator said “Don’t land on your head!” Well..I did and I broke my neck. Fighting a hotel fire in 2002 I fell approximately 12-15 feet, landed on my face, ripped 2 fingers from their sockets and broke 2 bones on my back. One day my sister said “God has a plan for you and He’s not ready for you to die yet.” And I believe that I am here today to help others. I have dedicated more than half of my life to helping others.

I have been fortunate to surround myself with good people who have supported me and helped me in my quest to one day compete as a Men’s Physique Body Builder. I have learned TONS and still learn every day. If I can help even one person lose some unwanted fat, get toned up, just get in better health… then I have succeeded. THAT is my goal so if you are here reading this… know that WE can do this.

“E’er body wanna be a bodybuilder” — Ronnie Coleman Well… not everyone does… some just want to drop unwanted weight and live a bit longer. There’s a plan for everyone though and I can help you along the way to your goal. It has to be YOUR goal… do this for YOU… but it will be US that achieve it. WE will have to do it together.

“Either do or do not. There is no TRY” — Yoda Now… I say that line often and it may seem goofy but it is exactly what you need to hear. I can’t tell you how many times people have said to me “I TRY to eat healthy MOST of the time” and what that means is they make zero effort to actually eat healthy. “I say.. you DO.. No questions” — Karate Kid Now that seems a bit harsh to say “No questions” and I certainly don’t know everything but remember…if I say NO MAYO… it means NO MAYO.

There is no try…only do! You have to get in a mindset that WE will succeed. There is no fail. There is no fast food. There is no soda. There is no sugar. “Well..I only drink a few sodas per day”… That’s a few too many. Americans consume over 15 billion gallons of soda per year and it’s largely the reason so many Americans are overweight. High Fructose Corn Syrup is one of the worst things you can put in your body. It tricks your mind into thinking you are still hungry when you aren’t. DO NOT DRINK SODA!

OK… much more to come but start there. NO fast food, NO soda, NO sugar, NO butter, NO mayo, NO fried foods. Take photos when you start… NO SHIRT. You want those photos to embarrass you…give you incentive. You don’t have to show them to anyone but look at them once per month.
